COVID-19: 144 New Cases; Tally 117,644

AKP Phnom Penh,

Only 144 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cambodia this morning; bringing the national counts to 117,644, announced the Ministry of Health in a press release.

These are PCR test results, said the same source, adding that 32 of the new infections were imported and the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

At the same time, there were 275 new recoveries, but 10 new deaths (all of them have not gotten vaccinated); the total cured and death cases thus rose to 112,658 and 2,725, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
