COVID-19: 272 New Infections Detected; National Counts 115,607

Cambodia’s Ministry of Health announced the detection of 272 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, of which 25 were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

These are PCR test results, underlined the ministry, adding that the COVID-19 tally in Cambodia rose to 115,607, including 19,261 imported cases.

At the same time, 494 new recoveries and 15 new deaths were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom to 109,296 and 2,559, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
