Cambodia’s Ministry of Health this morning reported 334 new cases of COVID-19, all of Omicron variant, of which 313 were locally transmitted and 21 were imported.
The COVID-19 tally in the country now increased to 132,072, including 11,619 Omicron cases (10,623 Omicron community cases), said the ministry’s press release.
Moreover, it added, the COVID-19 pandemic claimed two more lives; bringing the death toll to 3,040.
But at the same time, the ministry registered 495 new recoveries; the total cured cases in the Kingdom thus rose to 126,031.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
