COVID-19: 358 New Recoveries, But Almost 600 New Cases, 2 New Deaths

A total of 358 more patients have been successfully cured from COVID-19; the total recovered cases in Cambodia jumped to 121,125, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.
But at the same time, 598 new COVID-19 cases were detected, all of Omicron variant, of which 572 were locally transmitted and 26 were imported.
The country’s COVID-19 tally now rose to 127,575, including 7,122 Omicron cases (6,378 Omicron community cases).
Besides, two more people have lost their lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic; bringing the total death cases to 3,022,
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
