COVID-19: 431 New Cases and 31 Recovered Cases Reported in Cambodia

Cambodia this morning reported 431 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally reached 7,444.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, the new cases include two foreign passengers: a 31-year-old Indonesian man and a 20-year-old Chinese woman, and 429 community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.
Of the community cases, there are 428 Cambodians and 1 Vietnamese. Phnom Penh capital recorded the highest number of daily infections (271), followed by Preah Sihanouk province (133), and the rest in the provinces of Kandal, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom, Kampot, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Takeo, and Thbong Khmum.
At the same time, 31 locally transmitted cases have recovered; bringing the total cured patients to 2,555.
The newly recovered cases are 30 Cambodians and 1 Chinese. They have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.
In addition, the ministry registered 4,835 active cases and 49 COVID-19-related deaths.
