COVID-19: Daily Cases Drop to 195; Tally 116,860

The daily new cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia dropped to 195 this morning; bringing the national counts to 116,860.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, these are PCR test results. Among the new infections, 22 were imported and the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.

Meanwhile, the ministry recorded 279 new recoveries and 12 new deaths; the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom thus rose to 111,149 and 2,670, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
