COVID-19: New Cases Continue to Drop

The number of new infections of COVID-19 in Cambodia continue to decline with the detection of only 175 cases this morning; bringing the national counts to 117,035.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, these are PCR test results. Among the new cases, 34 were imported and the rest were connected to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
Meanwhile, 271 more recoveries and 11 new deaths (8 of them have not gotten vaccinated) were recorded; the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom thus jumped to 111,420 and 2,681, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
