COVID-19: New Omicron Cases Hit 274

Daily Omicron cases in Cambodia keeps increasing, to 274 this morning, according to the Ministry of Health’s press release.
Of the new Omicron infections, 266 were locally transmitted and 8 were imported, said the same source.
The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally now rose to 122,742, including 2,289 Omicron cases (1,688 Omicron community cases).
Meanwhile, 105 more patients have recovered, while zero new death was reported for 38 days in a row; therefore the total cured and death cases stood at 118,525 and 3,015, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
