COVID-19: Only 16 New Infections Reported; Tally 136,216

Only 16 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Cambodia this morning; all of locally transmitted Omicron variant, the Ministry of Health pointed out in its press release made public this morning.
The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally rose to 136,216, including 15,763 Omicron cases (14,413 Omicron community cases).
Meanwhile, the ministry announced the recovery of 25 more patients and zero new death; the total cured cases and death toll stood at 132,921 and 3,056, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
