COVID-19: Only 64 New Omicron Cases Reported

Only 64 new Omicron cases were reported in Cambodia this morning, down from 73 cases yesterday, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.
The new cases were all locally transmitted, the source added, pointing out that the country’s COVID-19 tally now increased to 135,222, including 14,769 Omicron cases (13,438 Omicron community cases).
Meanwhile, the ministry registered 51 new recoveries and zero new death; the total cured cases and death toll in the Kingdom therefore stood at 131,161 and 3,052, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
