COVID-19: Only One Patient Remains Hospitalised

Cambodia has only a COVID-19 patient left after another patient has successfully been cured from the pandemic, the Ministry of Health said in press release made public this morning.

The total recovered cases in Cambodia rose to 133,205, the same source pointed out.

At the same time, it continued, zero new case of COVID-19 has been reported for 26 days in a row; the tally thus remains at 136,262, of which 21,219 are imported cases while 14,459 are locally transmitted Omicron cases.

In addition, the ministry recorded no new death; the death toll remains at 3,056.

Despite the success, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen has repeatedly appealed to his compatriots to continue to stick to the health preventive measures and to get vaccinated.

The first COVID-19 case was found in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
