COVID-19: Tally Rises to Nearly 100,000 with Detection of 662 New Cases

The tally of COVID-19 in Cambodia increased to 99,504 this morning with the detection of 662 new cases, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.
Among the new infections, 180 were imported and the rest were linked to the Feb. 20 community outbreak, it added.
Besides, it pointed out, 493 new recoveries and 12 new deaths were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom to 93,904 and 2,040, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
