CPP Committed to Defend Democratic, Liberal Pluralistic System in Cambodia

The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) clearly confirmed its political will to protect the democracy and liberal multi-party system in the country, during the party's three-day extraordinary congress held here from Jan. 19 to 21.

The congress adhere firm position in defending and developing a stronger democratic, liberal pluralistic system in Cambodia in accordance with realistic demands of national progress and peacekeeping, while guaranteeing every right for the people, on basis of the Constitution and laws in force, said CPP in its resolution issued at the end the congress.

In this spirit, CPP actively participates with the Royal Government of Cambodia, the National Election Committee, political parties and other circles in keeping a good political atmosphere to guarantee that the Feb.-25-2018 Senate election and the July-29-2018 sixth-legislative term of the National Assembly members election will take place in a successful, free, fair and just manner, reflecting entirely the wills of the Cambodian people.

CPP also welcomes national and international observers to the two elections.
