CPP Elects Seven New Members of Central Committee’s Standing Committee

The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) elected seven new members of Central Committee's Standing Committee, at its 41st Central Committe Convention of the 5th mandate, at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center, this morning.

The new members include H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction; H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance; Gen. Vong Pisen, Commander in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF); Gen. Sao Sokha, Commander of National Gendarmerie; Gen. Hun Manet, Commander of Royal Cambodian Army and also Deputy Chairman of Joint Staff of RCAF; and Gen. Ith Sarath, Deputy Commander and Chief of Joint Staff of RCAF.

CPP Central Committee has in total 865 members after 342 were added to the list in January 2018.
