CPP President Congratulates Government on Inscription of Koh Ker Temple on World Heritage List

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), has congratulated the Royal Government on the successful listing of Koh Ker Temple as UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.

“On behalf of the president of the Cambodian People’s Party, I would like to express my sincerest congratulations on the occasion of Cambodia’s Koh Ker Temple Region listed as UNESCO’s World Heritage at the 45th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 12:28 pm (Riyadh time) which is 1:28 pm in Phnom Penh on 17 September 2023,” he wrote on his social media this evening.

“I would like to thank the Royal Government, all relevant ministries and institutions for supporting this work to achieve great results for the motherland,” added Samdech Techo Hun Sen, also President of the Supreme Privy Council of His Majesty the King.

Koh Ker temple resort was the former capital of Cambodia during the reign of King Jayavarman IV during the 10th century AD in 928 until 941 AD.
