CRC President Gives Donations to More Than 2,000 Trash Collectors

AKP Phnom Penh, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, has held a get-together with 2,125 families of workers of Cintri, a trash-collection company, and of Phnom Penh Municipal Department of Public Works and Transports.

The gathering took place yesterday at the CRC headquarters in Phnom Penh.

On the occasion, Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen reaffirmed the CRC’s continued mission to assist the vulnerable people at any time and any place. She also called on people, especially the youth, to stay away from drug and other narcotic substances, and HIV/AIDS as well as to respect the traffic law.

At the end of the ceremony, the CRC president distributed donations including milled rice, instant noodle, canned fish and other necessary stuff worth over US$110,000 to each family.
