Customs Revenues Reach Almost US$600 million in Q1

Some US$597.6 million was collected as custom revenue in the first three months of this year, about 23.2 percent of the yearly plan, according to the data from the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE).

The data was shared in a meeting held here yesterday under the chairmanship of H.E Kun Nhim, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Director General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Of the total revenue, the value-added tax shared 38.9 percent, special VAT 36.8 percent, and the rest was from other customs duties.

In 2021, the GDCE earned US$2,295 million, about 97.1 percent of the yearly plan.
