EIF Pledges to Support Cambodia’s Permanent Mission to WTO

The Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) will support Cambodia’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), especially her role as Head of LDC Group Coordinator, said a news release of the Ministry of Commerce.

The promise was made by Mr. Ratnakar Adhikari, Executive Director of EIF while meeting with Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak, in Siem Reap province on March 20, on the sidelines of the Fifth China Round Table on WTO Accessions.

Mr. Ratnakar Adhikari appreciated the Ministry of Commerce for the well organisation of the Fifth China Round Table on WTO Accessions and the establishment of Cambodia’s Permanent Mission to the WTO to strengthen economic development and trade relations.

For his part, H.E. Pan Sorasak expressed his gratitude to EIF for its support to Cambodia through EIF-Tier 1 for capacity development for Department of International Cooperation, EIF-Tier 2 for Cambodia Export Diversification and Expansion Programme (CEDEP) Phase I and II, and the Cambodia’s Sustainability Support Project (SSP) that aimed at filling in gaps after the completion of previous projects.

H.E. Minister also highly valued the EIF support for the Academy of Culinary Art of Cambodia (ACAC) which is built upon a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
