Eight Countries to Participate in Bokator at SEA Games 2023

Seven or eight countries will participate in a competition of Bokator at the SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia.
The update was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) in a meeting with Mr. Tanayut Jongsukkaijai, President of Pencak Silat of Surin province here in Phnom Penh recently.
Those countries include Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam; and Cambodia is also coordinating with other countries like Timor-Leste to join the games as well, said the secretary general.
Thailand’s Surin province is interested in Cambodia’s Bokator and planned to send a coach from Surin to Cambodia and bring one from Cambodia to Surin for exchange training.
Cambodia will establish a Southeast Asian Bokator Federation to further boost the sport to another level ahead of the SEA Games, he added.
