Emirates Airlines Starts Daily Flight Services to Cambodia

Emirates Airlines, the Dubai-based air-transportation, launched its daily services from Dubai to Phnom Penh yesterday evening.

The launching ceremony was held here under the presidency of H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism as well as H.E. Mao Havanall, Secretary of State for Civil Aviation and other local and foreign guests.

H.E. Mao Havanall said Emirates is the 37th foreign airline to offer flights to Phnom Penh International Airport.

Over seven million passengers passed through Phnom Penh and Siem Reap international airports in 2016 and Emirates will further expand the services and choice to more passengers this year on, he added.

H.E. Thong Khon expressed his strong support to Emirates' flight connection between Phnom Penh-Yangon-Dubai.

Cambodia will gain more benefits from this new air link. We hope that this flight connection will attract tourists not only from the Arab world, but also from Europe and other parts of the world, he underlined.

The first flight of Emirates Airlines to Cambodia landed on Saturday last week with Boing 777-300 ER. With this new flight, Cambodia can connect to the 156 worldwide destinations of the airline's network.
