Environment and Natural Resources Code of Cambodia On the Way

The preparation for the environment and natural resources code of the Kingdom of Cambodia is moving ahead.

The draft of the said code was discussed in the 4th National Consultation Workshop hosted by the Ministry of Environment.

H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment, who presided over the workshop's opening ceremony, said this code will further protect the natural resources effectively.

This code is elaborated in order to maintain the harmonisation of Cambodian people, and ensure the economic growth and sustainable use of natural resources, he underlined.

The environment and natural resources code of the Kingdom of Cambodia was initiated by H.E Say Samal in 2016. It has in total 400 pages, 11 iconographies, and 40 contents. It will be the first code in Cambodia and in ASEAN.
