Environment Minister Encourages CSOs to Increase Dialogue with Government

Cambodia's Minister of Environment H.E. Say Samal has encouraged civil society organisations (CSOs) to increase their dialogue with the ministry as well as the royal government for a close and good partnership.

The encouragement was made while H.E. Minister received here on July 18 at his office a group of six NGOs that are working and having close cooperation with the Ministry of Environment in natural resource protection and biodiversity conservation, according to the ministry's news release.

Ms. Suwanna Gauntlett, Chief Executive Officer of Wildlife Alliance, thanked H.E. Say Samal who is always open for discussion and cooperation with CSOs so far.

Up to now, Cambodia has in total 46 natural protected areas and 3 biodiversity conservation corridors covering more than 7.3 million hectares.
