EU Appreciates Preah Sihanouk Province’s Development

European Union (EU) has appreciated the development of Preah Sihanouk province, especially its tourism potential.

The appreciation was underlined by Mr. Simone Pieri, Deputy Head of EU Delegation in Cambodia, when received by Mr. Chhin Sengnguon, Acting Governor of Preah Sihanouk at the province yesterday.

In the meeting, Mr. Chhin Sengnguon shared with the EU delegation about key geography and potential of the province, including tourism sector, deep sea port, international airport, as well as industrial, commercial and agricultural sites.

Preah Sihanouk province, he added, is undergoing rapid progress, both in terms of physical infrastructure and economic performance thanks to increasing foreign investments, and of course, there are some fallouts which are being addressed.

According to Mr. Simone Pieri, the intention of the EU delegation’s visit was to seek more understanding of Preah Sihanouk’s development and emerging challenges.

The visiting delegation also appreciated happening development of the province.
