Feasibility for US$500 Million International Convention Centre Construction Discussed

Feasibility for a project to construct a Gold-Silver Gulf International Convention Centre worth US$500 million has been discussed, according to local media report.

Taking place here in Phnom Penh recently, the assessment was attended by H.E. Srun Darith, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Mr. Yang Jianping, Executive Director of Unite International (Cambodia) Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Mr. Fu Xianting, Chairman of Board Director of Yeejia Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Unite International (Cambodia) Investment Group Co., Ltd.

Situated at Ream National Park in Preah Sihanouk province, the project � if implemented � will be split into two parts including a conference centre and a five-star international conference hotel.

The feasibility of this project was carried out in April 2019 and it is a main investment project of China expected to contribute significantly to Cambodia’s economic growth and tourism development.

Gold-Silver Gulf International Conference Centre project is a part of a resort development project located about 73-kilometre from Preah Sihanouk International Airport on the total land surface of 3,300 hectares.
