Finance Minister Receives Newly Appointed Canadian Ambassador

Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth has received H.E. Ms. Donica Pottie, newly appointed Bangkok-based Ambassador of Canada to Cambodia, at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh.

H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth congratulated the ambassador on her new role with optimism that bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue to be enhanced.

The senior minister provided updates on key progresses of Cambodia to H.E. Ms. Ambassador and thanked the Government of Canada for its role contributing significantly to the development of the Kingdom.

From her side, H.E. Ms. Donica Pottie spoke highly of Cambodia's robust progress and expressed appreciation of investment climate in Cambodia that enables successful operation of Canadian companies in the country.

The Canadian ambassador was also impressed by effort of the Royal Government of Cambodia in tourism that encourages more and more Canadians to visit the country.

The two sides concluded their meeting with reinforced commitment for closer cooperation in a near future.
