First Ever Diplomatic Training Institute in Cambodia To Be Created

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA-IC) will create the first ever diplomatic training institute in Cambodia in response to the current development of foreign affairs in the region and the world.

The institute will provide training for MFA-IC's officials on diplomatic skills, H.E. Chum Sounry, Spokesperson for MFA-IC, told reporters here on Tuesday after the meeting between Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of MFA-IC H.E. PrakSokhonn and newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia H.E. HidehisaHorinouchi.

Located in the MFA-IC's compound, the building of the diplomatic training institute is now under construction, the spokesperson added.

To smooth the institute's functioning, H.E. PrakSokhonn suggested the cooperation between the diplomatic institutes of Cambodia and Japan.

H.E. HidehisaHorinouchi welcomed the suggestion, and encouraged the Cambodian side to send a delegation to visit the Japan's diplomatic institute and discuss the cooperation with the Japanese counterpart.
