First steel processing plant of Pang Nakry Real Estate Co., Ltd at a Special Economic Zone in Banteay Meanchey province has been inaugurated.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Mar. 8 under the presidency of H.E. Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey province and H.E. Mrs. Pang Nakry, Director of Pang Nakry Real Estate Co., Ltd.

H.E. Pankhem Bunthorn, Deputy Chief of Cabinet of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, H.E. Gen. Sok Pheap, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, H.E. Tep Khunnal, Personal Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. Kheng Sum, Chairman of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Council, and Cambodian, Chinese and Thai investors joined the event.

Mr. Tek Bunthoeun, who represents H.E. Mrs. Pang Nakry, underlined that the plant will contribute significantly to the development of areas nearest the Cambodian and Thai border.

Pang Nakry Real Estate Co., Ltd. has been investing on infrastructure development, real estate, establishment of markets, factories and on provision of other services in line with the government’s policy in the areas.

The company is also planning to construct a tire factory and run other businesses that will benefit the locals, and to plant trees on a total of 50 hectares of land surface there.

H.E. Oum Reatrey congratulated this new achievement, and thanked the company for its contribution to development of Cambodia, especially in Banteay Meanchey province.

H.E. Governor also pledged to continue to bring in more investors to the province.
