The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved five new investment projects with a total capital of US$27.3 million in the provinces of Kandal, Takeo and Kampong Cham and in Phnom Penh capital.
According to the CDC, these new projects belong to DAY SEN PACKAGE CO., LTD., PHOENIX FASHION (CAMBODIA) GARMENT CO., LTD., AW CASHMERE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., SUPERCAN (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., and XN FU INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.
The five companies will invest in the establishment of factories for cardboard boxes, garments, shoes, umbrellas, raincoats, gloves, plastic bags and towels, the same source said.
The newly approved projects would generate more than 7,000 jobs for the locals, said the CDC.
