Floating Market Would Be Created in Cambodia

Cambodian and Thai investors plan to create a floating market in Vihear Sour, Ksach Kandal district, Kandal province to promote tourism in Cambodia.

Oknha Srey Chanthorn, CEO of Sky Land, was quoted as saying by local media that a group of Thai investors will arrive in Cambodia next week to study the geographical area.

He expressed his optimism over the success of this investment project, but did not reveal the amount of investment.

The floating market will follow the Khmer culture in terms of clothes, selling boats and floating houses, he underlined.

Mr. Ho Vandy, Secretary General of Cambodia’s National Tourism Alliance, welcomed the investment project, saying that this new tourism product will provide more choices for national and international tourists.
