GDCE Collects US$1.74 Billion as State Revenue Last Year

The General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) at the Ministry of Economy and Finance collected a total of 7,076 billion Riel or US$1,745 million as state income in 2016.

The figures were shared during the GDCE’s annual meeting held here yesterday under the chairmanship of H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth, Senior Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance.

This amount of income saw an increase by 10.5 percent compared to that a year earlier and represented about 106.25 percent of the National Budget Law for 2016.

In 2015, GDCE collected some 5,455 billion Riel or roughly US$1,598 million, showing a 17.4 percent increase year-on-year.
