GDCE Earns US$1.7 Billion Income in Nine Months

AKP Phnom Penh, The General Department of Customs and Excise earned some US$1,700 million as custom income in the first three quarters, a year-on-year decrease of 6.8 percent.
The figures were shared in a monthly meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of its Director General H.E. Kun Nhem.
The nine-month income is equal to 71.9 percent of 2021 customs income plan.
Income earned from import taxes on vehicles and machinery accounts for 42 percent of total income, while mixed goods imports for 28 percent, oil import for 23.5 percent, and building materials and other services for 6.3 percent.
