Government Remains Vigilant against COVID-19

The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) will continue to pay high attention to the fight against COVID-19 despite its success in the containment and prevention of the pandemic so far, affirmed Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

A priority in this fight is to continue administering vaccines to the citizens, the Premier said in a Facebook post yesterday, stressing that the RGC will keep finding more vaccines for its people.

On July 3, 2022, more than 140,000 Pfizer pediatric doses, donated by Poland, arrived in Cambodia. Up to now, Cambodia has received nearly 53 million doses through donation and purchase. There are currently almost 9 million doses left in stock. Besides, the country is expected some more 20 million doses of vaccines.

As of July 3, 94.31 percent of the total population of 16 million have been vaccinated with the basic doses. Around 9.5 million have got the 3rd shot, while nearly 3 million the 4th jab and some 320,000 the 5th dose.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister has time and time again said that Cambodia will provide vaccines to its people free of charge even until the 20th dose.
