The Royal Government of Cambodia will provide Cambodian identification cards (IDs) for overseas Cambodians to facilitate their stay and their businesses in the Kingdom.
The news was shared by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen while holding a get-together in Zurich, Switzerland on May 21 evening (Zurich time) with more than 2,000 Cambodian nationals living in Europe.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen underlined that it is not necessary for the overseas Cambodians to apply for the Cambodian nationality.
The move will allow them to buy house, land and even create political parties in Cambodia, the Premier explained.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister is currently in Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2022 to be held in Davos-Klosters on May 22-26 under the theme “Preparing for the Post-COVID era”.
