Grant Assistance from Japan for School Building Construction in Three Provinces

AKP Phnom Penh, The Government of Japan has donated US$319,409 for the construction of school buildings in remote areas of Cambodia’s three provinces where the access to the facility are most deprived.

Official agreements of the so-called grant assistance for grassroots human security project or KUSANONE were signed here recently by H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa and representatives from the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the three provinces.

Of the donated amount, US$75,415 will be used to construct a school building in Slap Leng Lower Secondary School in Bosedth district of Kampong Speu province, and US$82,244 for similar facility in Korki Primary School in Kean Svay district of Kandal province.

The rest US$163,750 will be used to cover the construction of a school building in Samdech Ov-Samdech Me Lower Secondary School in Banlong district and another school building in Yadao Primary School in O’ Yadao district of Rattanakiri province.
