Guangdong Province Federation of Industry Associations To Study Business Environment in Cambodia

China's Guangdong Province Federation of Industry Associations has expressed its intention to seek investment opportunities in Cambodia in areas of e-commerce, tourism and agriculture, according to a news release of the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce.

While meeting with Cambodian Commerce Minister H.E. Pan Sorasak during his inspection visit to Cambodia Trade Centre in Guangdong province recently, Mr. Gong Shaolin, President of Guangdong Province Federation of Industry Associations, said he wanted to lead a delegation of investors from 100 Chinese companies to Cambodia to explore investment opportunities in the above-mentioned fields.

The federation also planned to import Cambodia's milled rice to sell in different hotels in China, he added.

On the occasion, the federation invited H.E. Minister to attend the World Invention and Innovation Forum to be held in Guangdong in coming November.

For his part, H.E. Pan Sorasak expressed his strong support to the investment intention, particularly in e-commerce, saying that the ministry is working hard to promote this sector. He also laid stress on the potential of Cambodian agricultural products and tourism for the Chinese market.

In addition, he welcomed the future visit of Guangdong Province Federation of Industry Associations delegation to Cambodia and pledged to help coordinating their meeting with relevant institutions.
