H.E. Ek Sonnchan, Minister Delegate Attached to Prime Minister, was awarded with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon from the Government of Japan.
The conferment ceremony took place early this week at the Embassy of Japan in Phnom Penh.
According to the embassy, H.E. Ek Sonnchan has contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Cambodia in the field of urban and rural water supply.
On the occasion, Japanese Ambassador H.E. MIKAMI Masahiro expressed his sincere appreciation to H.E. Ek Sonnchan for his long time contribution, and congratulated him with his family, friends and colleagues.
The award is bestowed upon individuals of merit in recognition of their national or public services, and in honour of their distinguished accomplishments in various areas in society.
