Hungary Does Not Support EU Sanction Intended Against Cambodia

Hungary has reiterated its stand against the intention of the European Union (EU) to pressure or to impose any sanction against Cambodia, according to a post on the Facebook page of Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong.

The commitment, it continued, was made by H.E. Zsolt Semjen, Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary, during a recent meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong in Budapest, Hungary.

H.E. Hor Nanhong thanked H.E. Zsolt Semjen as well as the Government of Hungary for the position that shows respect to Cambodia's sovereignty.

The Cambodian DPM informed the Hungarian senior delegation that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been working hard to sustain peace and high economic performance.

The government, he added, will take all necessary and rightful measures against the so-called colour revolution that threatens the country's economic and political stability.

On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, H.E. Hor Namhong also invited Hungarian technical delegates to join as observers during Cambodia's up-coming general election in July.

H.E. Hor Namhong led a delegation for the side-line meeting and to attend the two-day Executive Committee Meeting of Centrist Democrat International (CDI) in Budapest of Hungary from Feb.15 to 17.
