Hunsenomics Driving Cambodia’s Growth for Last Two Decades

Impressive Cambodia’s economic performance for the last two decades centring the market on people has been termed ‘Hunsenomics’.

The coining of the term was shared recently by Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth during a workshop here in Phnom Penh.

As explained by the finance minister, Hunsenomics focuses primarily on the development of support as well as institutional policies to open Cambodia’s market to the region and the world.

Under the leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the economic model has gone through various stages leading to noticeable progress of the country, he added.

Cambodia has sustained its 7 percent economic growth for the last twenty years.

According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Cambodia is among the world’s top ten countries with fastest economic growth and was considered as an emerging Asian tiger economy in 2016.
