ICC Angkor Holds 36th Technical Session in Siem Reap

The International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Sites of Angkor (ICC/Angkor)-Sambo Prei Kuk held in Siem Reap provincial city on Dec. 15 the 36th Technical Session.
The session, co-chaired by Mr. Pierre Vincent, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs at the French Embassy and Mr. Ichitomo Taninai, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy of Japan, was opened this morning under the presidency of H.E. Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and President of the APSARA National Authority.
Mr. Sardar Umar ALAM, UNESCO Representative in Cambodia, was also present on the occasion.
According to the APSARA National Authority, the meeting discussed and monitored the implementation of the recommendations adopted at the 35th Technical Session and the 28th Plenary Session in March 2022, as well as reviewing the activity reports of the technical restoration team.
The reports reviewed at this meeting reflected the work of the AdHoc experts, which visited the site from Dec. 6 to 12, 2022, and the reports will be included in the Plenary Session tomorrow.
