Influx of Chinese into Preah Sihanouk Poses No Security Concern

Rapid rise of Chinese investors especially in Preah Sihanouk does not pose security concern in the coastal province, according to its governor.

H.E. Yun Min made the affirmation recently, adding that the province has strong security forces and aligns its priorities, including open market economy, with that of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Preah Sihanouk province, he continued, welcomes investors and tourists not only from China, but also from France, Vietnam, United States of America, and other countries as long as they respect the laws of Cambodia.

H.E. Yun Min accepted that there were so far minor issues with some Chinese people in Cambodia, but they were not severe.

In fact, prompt influx of Chinese in the last few months, he underlined, are benefiting the province as well as Cambodia at large economically.
