Italy To Launch Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia in Mid-2017

Italy will launch its Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia by the middle of this year, pointed out the Ministry of Commerce's news release, after the meeting here last Friday between H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce and Mr. Arnaud Darc, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham).

The Italian Chamber of Commerce will represent 40 companies, which is also part of the EuroCham, it underlined.

Mr. Arnaud Darc said the office will help boost investment benchmark in the Kingdom and create more employment opportunities for Cambodia citizens.

For his part, H.E. Pan Sorasak thanked the EuroCham chairman for his great effort in mobilising European investors to invest in Cambodia. He also expressed his support to the EuroCham's proposal, regarding the four MoUs to be revised to better promote technical cooperation between the two institutions.

Moreover, H.E. Pan Sorasak asked the chairman to arrange the technical working group and revise the bilateral meeting's agenda in order to expedite the completion of the MoUs' drafts as soon as possible so that both parties can sign these MoUs' drafts in March this year.
