The Government of Japan has decided to provide Cambodia with US$329,736 in aid for road rehabilitation and health centre supply and construction in four provinces.

The grant contracts were inked here in Phnom Penh yesterday by Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa and representatives of the four entities that will manage the financing.

Of the total funding, US$87,587 will be used for road renovation in Rovieng district of Preah Vihear province and US$67,545 for health care equipment in Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap province.

The rest of the amount will be spent for the construction of Kragnoung Senchey (US$89,632) and Barong (US$84,972) health centre buildings in Kratie and Kandal provinces.

The grand aid derives from Japan's economic cooperation framework, the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, namely KUSANONE Grant.
