Japan Appreciates Cambodia’s Investment Policies

Japan has appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia for ensuring necessary policies to support and further attract Japan’s investments to the country, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia expressed the appreciation when co-chairing the 17th Cambodia-Japan Joint Committee Meeting with Minister attached to the Prime Minister and CDC Secretary General H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea here in Phnom Penh recently.

Addressing the meeting, H.E. Sok Chinda Sophea underlined existing and newly introduced government investment policies and legal procedures.

The joint committee meeting, he added, serves as a forum for Japanese investors to voice their challenges to run their business in Cambodia for the government to continue to address.

The meeting follows a bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Japan to promote Japanese investments in Cambodia.

Many representatives from state institutions, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Japan Business Association of Cambodia (JBAC) and Japanese companies attended the meeting.
