Japan Gives Nearly US$700,000 for Education and Nutrition Projects

Government of Japan has provided US$692,522 worth grant aid to support education, food security and nutrition projects in Cambodia.

Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Hidehisa Horinouchi and representatives of two non-governmental organisations receiving the fund officially signed the grant aid agreement recently at the embassy here in Phnom Penh.

Of the total amount, some US$396,000 was given to Heart of Gold Organisation for development of National Institute of Physical Education and Sport (NIPES).

The rest US$297,000 was received by Foundation for International Development/Relief (FIDR) for promotion of food security and nutrition in Kampong Chhnang province.
