Japan Travel Fair to be Held in Phnom Penh This Weekend

The Japan National Tourism Organisation in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia will organise Japan Travel Fair on Dec. 10-11, 2022 at Lively Plaza, AEON Mall Phnom Penh (AEON1).
According to the embassy, the opening ceremony will be presided over by H.E. Ms Hun Dany, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism and Mr. Taninai Ichitomo, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan.
The forthcoming event aims to introduce Japanese culture and tradition to Cambodian people and also strengthen tourism connection between the two countries, it said.
The two-day event includes many interesting activities such as Japanese traditional drum performance, by Mekong Daiko, Japanese drum team based in Phnom Penh, the same source pointed out.
Participants can also experience winter of Japan with mock “Kamakura”, which is a type of traditional snow dome as well as “Yukata” trial and “Origami” class, it added.
Recently, the embassy said, the number of Cambodian tourists to Japan has been increasing due to the easing of immigration restrictions of both countries.
