The 10th Nodojiman Japanese Song Contest will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Angkor-Kizuna Hall, Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC), during Tanabata Festival 2019.

According to the Embassy of Japan’s press release, this forthcoming contest, organised by the embassy in cooperation with CJCC, will be conducted as a school competition.

This year, it added, 14 representative individuals or groups from eight schools or universities will compete with each other in the contest.

The NODOJIMAN Japanese Song Contest has been held annually for the purpose of encouraging Japanese language learners to practice the language through singing songs, said the same source, stressing that this contest also aims to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the people of Japan and Cambodia through Japanese songs.
