Japanese Envoys Awarded with Cambodia’s Royal Decorations

His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has granted honorary royal decorations to eight Japanese envoys in recognition of their achievements in contributing to Cambodia's water resource and meteorology development.

The decorations were awarded to the envoys recently by Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology H.E. Lim Kean Hor here in Phnom Penh.

The Japanese awardees included Mr. Sugano Yuichi and Mr. Tanaka Kotaro who are President and Vice President of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Cambodia Office, Mr. Kengo Matsuda, Second Secretary of Japanese Embassy to Cambodia, and other officials of JICA.

Addressing the function, H.E. Lim Kean Hor congratulated the JICA senior officials and spoke highly of their efforts in contributing to promoting the management and development of water resources and meteorology sectors in the country through Japan's concessional financing and grant-aid cooperation.

He profoundly thanked the Government and people of Japan for active participation in Cambodia's development in all sectors, especially in rehabilitating and developing irrigation system, use of river water resources, human resources training, technical assistance, and beyond.
