Japanese Investor Interested in Developing Eco-Tourism at Kirirom National Park

Japanese investor has shown his interest in developing and transforming a beautiful and natural zone of Kirirom National Park into a tourist attraction site.

Mr. Takeshi Izuku, President of Vkirirom Resort, expressed his company’s interest while meeting with H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce at the ministry office on May 8, according to a news release of the ministry.

Kirirom is the historical site developed by His Majesty the late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, in collaboration with the Japanese government during the 1960s-1970s, added Mr. Takeshi Izuku, adding that the main target of his investment plan is retired Japanese who want relaxing place with natural atmosphere for a longer period.

In reply, H.E. Pan Sorasak warmly welcomed and expressed his full support to his guest’s project and the company’s business in the areas of tourism and environmental protection as well as conservation of wildlife at the national park.

On the occasion, H.E. Pan Sorasak also suggested Mr. Takeshi Izuku preparing a master plan on environmental protection and wildlife conservation with standard compliance to request additional supports from relevant organisations and the Royal Government of Cambodia.
