JICA Pledges to Help Cambodia on EIA

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has pledged to help strengthen the capacity of Cambodian Ministry of Environment’s officials on environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environmental pollution.

The promise was made by a JICA senior official during a recent meeting with Environment Minister H.E. Say Samal.

According to the Ministry of Environment, the JICA senior official informed H.E. Minister of the outcome of data collection related to the preparation of technical cooperation project aiming to improve Cambodian environment officials’ capacity on EIA and environmental pollution control.

For his part, H.E. Say Samal laid stress on his ministry’s efforts and commitment to conduct reform in the fields of environment and natural resource management.
