JICA Supports Industrial Capacity Building for Cambodian Officials

Young Cambodian officials have learned experience from Japan to further advance the country's industrial sector.

Taking place at a venue in Preah Sihanouk province, the experience sharing session was organised late last week by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

According to JICA representative Ms. Ohma Eriko, the session aims to promote young leadership as resource for the development of Cambodia.

Starting in 1995, the work has trained over 980 officials through classroom training and experience sharing and exposure visit to Japan.

The Royal Government of Cambodia is implementing the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 and the JICA-supported capacity building fits in well with its commitment to implement the policy successfully.

Mr. Lim Visal, Representative of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, considered the JICA's support as an opportunity for him to build his capacity and share it with his colleagues to better implement his work.
